Tonight I made one of my favorite meals....CHICKEN SPAGHETTI!!! I have modified this meal to fit my family 's
Chicken Spaghetti
Ingredients
- 3 cans of chicken (drained)
- 1 pound of spaghetti noodles
- 2 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup of finely diced bell pepper (green)
- 1 teaspoon of salt (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2- 10 3/4 ounce cans of Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 8 cups of water
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine 8 cups of water and 1 teaspoon of salt in a pan and cook until a rolling boil. After noodles are cooked combine all ingredients with only 1 1/2 cup of cheese at this point and a small amount of the water that the pasta was cooked in. Put all the ingredients in a 9x13 inch dish. Top with 1 cup of cheese and bake for 45 minutes!
Shortcuts:
- break the noodles into 4ths and they will cook more evenly
- use a throw away dish for cooking (saves clean up time and you can freeze some too!)
- ALWAYS add extra cheese! It's soooo good!
- I just use generic brand products to save money. Living in Wal-Mart country Great Value is my go-to!
- I always buy block cheese and grate my own. I love freshly grated cheese. It makes the dish creamier and all that much more better!
I hope you will try this and enjoy it as much as my family does! It is def one of our favorite meals!
xoxo,
